Highlights
-
Exterior Signal Mirrors
The side view mirrors have the blinkers built right into them. This helps vehicles to the left or right of you know when you’re turning or changing lanes much more easily. And as an added bonus, it’s easier to spot when you’ve left your blinker on.
Standard
-
Heatable Sideview Mirrors
It’s all about better visibility. This helps makes sure your side view mirrors don’t fog up in the worst weather. A nicety that borders on necessity.
Standard
-
LED Technology
The rear markers, brake lights and turn signal lights are all illuminated using Light Emitting Diodes. LEDs illuminate instantly, they use less energy and last significantly longer than standard light bulbs. Good for safety and the environment.
Standard
-
Power Glass Sunroof
It tilts. It slides. It’s got pinch protection. And it’s tinted so you don’t get toasted when the sun comes out to play.
Standard
-
Remote Rear Hatch
The rear hatch of your Passat Wagon can be opened with a simple push of the key fob. And don’t worry if you can’t reach high enough to close it you can program the opening height with another push of a button. Just set the hatch at the height you want and hold the hatch button down.
Standard
-
Roof Rails
The roof rails on your Passat Wagon work with all of our accessory racks. So whether you surf, ski or just need some extra storage space, these rails are ready to do what roof rails do.
Standard
-
12-Way Power Driver’s Seat
With the power seats, you can adjust your seat 12 different ways. That’s up, down, back, forth, lumbar and tilt with just the touch of a button. (Driver side only)
Standard
-
Auxilary Input Jack
This little hole makes your VW a lot cooler. You can plug in your iPod® or even your guitar and listen to it through the stereo in your Passat Wagon.
Standard
-
Cargo Area
Fold down the back seats and create 61.82 cubic feet of space in the back of your Passat Wagon. That’s a lot of room to do your thing. Whatever your thing is. We don’t like to pry.
Standard
-
Electronic Parking Brake (EPB)
No need to pull levers or push pedals to set your e-brake. Just simply press the e-brake button and they’ll set themselves. Once you’re ready to get going, just press the button again and the e-brake will release itself.
Standard
-
Trip Computer
The Multi-Function Indicator is a trip computer that not only tells you things like outside temperature, engine temperature and how far you’ve traveled, it will even let you know how much farther you can travel based on the amount of fuel in the tank. Perfect for people who mix up their “E” and “F”.
Standard
-
Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR)
Anti-Slip Regulation helps prevent wheel slippage at all speeds and denies engine power in situations when wheel slip is detected. So, balance and equal traction are never compromised.*
Standard
*Obey all speed and traffic laws.
-
Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP®)
In conjunction with the ABS, ASR and EDL, plus additional sensors, the Electronic Stabilization Program helps the driver maintain their intended course during evasive maneuvering, like avoiding an accident, by applying brake pressure to specific wheels.
Standard
-
Engine Braking Assist (EBA)
Sometimes when you downshift too hard, the reduced gear ratio and engine compression can cause skidding. Not with the intelligence of VW at the wheel. Using the wheel speed sensors, the system monitors the drive wheels for slippage and modulates engine braking torque to prevent skidding.
Standard
-
Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA)
Sometimes, drivers will apply the brake quickly, but without enough pressure to activate the ABS. VW’s HBA recognizes how quickly the brakes were pressed, and automatically kicks in maximum ABS effectiveness to give you maximum deceleration.
Standard
-
Independent Suspension
Independent suspension provides handling, control and ride benefits. Since each wheel is able to pivot and be suspended separately from all other wheels, it creates a nice, smooth ride in your VW.

-
Vented Front Wheel Disc Brakes
Yet another upgraded safety feature VW chooses to offer standard that others don’t even offer. When you push the brake pedal, pads squeeze both sides of the disc, creating heat. Our vented brake rotors are designed for autobahn speeds and can more effectively dissipate heat. When mated to the most effective ABS platform available to date, braking confidence is a standard feature.
Standard
-
Anti-Intrusion Door Beams
VW uses steel reinforcements in the doors which are designed to absorb and redirect impact energy upon a side impact - basically creating a steel cage to protect passengers. Sounds good on paper. Even better on impact.
Standard
-
Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)
ABS stands for the Anti-lock Brake System. It’s an electronically regulated hydraulic braking system, which helps prevent the vehicle from sliding under hard braking by preventing wheel lock-up. ABS, some say it means “Always Brake Safely.”
Standard
-
Crash Optimized Front End
The crash optimized front end has impact-absorbing elements, which are integrated into the front structure. These elements allow compression of the front structure during impact. We don’t just watch out for our cars, we watch out for each other. It’s designed so the energy on impact goes into the car and not you.
Standard
-
Height Adjustable Telescopic Steering Wheel
If it’s easier for you to reach everything, it’s easier for you to drive more safely. This feature gives you a custom fit, while allowing the airbag* to be placed in the best possible position for you. Literally, and figuratively. Also, the steering column is designed to collapse like a telescope to help reduce impact on impact.
Standard
*Airbags are supplemental restraints only and will not deploy under all crash circumstances. Always use safety belts and seat children only in the rear, using restraint systems appropriate for their size and age.
-
Six Airbags
Airbags* are passive safety features that are found in every VW. They’re activated in certain types of vehicle collisions when sensors trigger their deployment in just milliseconds. You can also choose to get your VW with two additional airbags for added safety. Safe Happens.
Standard
*Airbags are supplemental restraints only and will not deploy under all crash circumstances. Always use safety belts and seat children only in the rear, using restraint systems appropriate for their size and age.
-
Tire Pressure Monitoring System
A sensor built into the valve stem of each tire reads the air pressure, alerting you on your instrument panel when the pressure in one or more of your tires is too low. It only makes sense - properly inflated tires make the vehicle both safer and more fuel-efficient.
